How might we design a more inclusive and equitable world? That question launched the collaboration between Emi and Amy, resulting in the "Design for Worldview" experience. Long-time friends, Amy and Emi, knew they had something special as roommates in Davos, Switzerland. Their friendship continued and grew in Washington, D.C., where Amy served as the Executive Director of the Sustained Dialogue Institute and Campus Network, and Emi served as a producer and editor at The Washington Post. Emi moved to California and served as the editor-in-residence and a senior media designer at The Hasso Plattner Institute of Design ('the d.school') at Stanford University. Today, Amy is the founder and CEO of InclusionVentures in San Francisco, California, which collaborates with organizations in media, technology, and philanthropy to make inclusion the norm. Emi is the founder and CEO of the media and design consultancy Dexign LLC in Fairfax, Virginia, which is dedicated to helping clients see what's missing. Emi and Amy have both been named World Economic Forum Global Shapers, going on to lead hubs in Palo Alto and Washington, D.C. respectively. Emi is an alumni of The French-American Foundation's Young Leaders program, served as the associate producer for "Washington Week with Gwen Ifill" and performed at Radio City Music Hall. Amy is an alumni of the Coro Fellows program, a recipient of the USA Networks Characters Unite Award, and has been a back-up singer for Aretha Franklin. The duo presented Design for Worldview at Twitter, SoCap, ITVS, Dreamforce, and venture capital firms.
