Khadija Ahmed

Khadija Ahmed is a chef, community organizer, food justice advocate, and Founder and Executive Director of Food For All Services, a Portland-based nonprofit advancing food access, cultural inclusion, and dignity.

A refugee who built her life in Maine, Khadija transformed her experience of displacement into a commitment to helping others find belonging through food. She has mobilized more than 3,000 volunteers and expanded culturally responsive food access across Maine.

Khadija has worked as Community Impact Manager in the Equity and Inclusion Department at Good Shepherd Food Bank and is Head Chef and Program Lead of the Halal School Meals Network, the nation’s first third-party-certified halal school meal program. She has partnered with the Gulf of Maine Research Institute to develop culturally inspired fish recipes for Maine schools and serves on the boards of Black Owned Maine, Full Plates Full Potential, and Cultivating Community.
