Colby Marvin Bracy
Colby Marvin Bracy is the Director of People & Operations at The Nonantum Resort, where she leads with a belief that every person deserves the opportunity to contribute, belong, and thrive. Guided by The Nonantum’s mission of “Raising People Up,” Colby has helped build an inclusive workplace that challenges traditional ideas about who belongs, and who can succeed, in hospitality.
Through innovative hiring practices, Colby and The Nonantum have created opportunities for people often overlooked by traditional employment systems, including individuals with profound disabilities, people returning from incarceration, and those in recovery from substance use disorder. Her work has been recognized with the Innovator of the Year Award from the New England Inns and Resorts Association, the North Star Award from the American Hotel & Lodging Association, and Elon University’s 2026 Top 10 Under 10 Award.
Beyond her work at The Nonantum, Colby serves as Chair of the Kennebunk-Kennebunkport-Arundel Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Advisory Board for Recovery Friendly Workplace Maine and the Board of Visitors at Long Creek Youth Development Center.
Outside of work, Colby and her husband are raising four tiny humans and embracing a life rich in homemade meals, outdoor adventures, and hands-on learning. Whether they're collecting eggs, making maple syrup, skiing, gardening, or baking together, they're intentional about creating a family culture grounded in connection, curiosity, and joy.
