John Coleman founded The VIA Agency in 1993 and has been the Portland, Maine-based agency’s CEO since then. The agency was named Ad Age’s Small Agency of the Year in 2011 and was twice on the Inc. 500 list of fastest-growing companies. John and the agency have tackled some of the most difficult marketing challenges in the industry, working with leading brands like Samsung, Unilever, Sam’s Club, Perdue Farms, Welch’s, Shutterfly, Republic Wireless, The World Trade Center, Romano’s Macaroni Grill and 1800 Tequila, to name just a few. John holds both an M.B.A. and a B.S. in mechanical engineering. He has been on the Board of Trustees of the Maine College of Art since 2000. He enjoys fly fishing, playing the guitar and being told he’s a geek by his three beautiful children. John is married to his high school sweetheart, Linda.
